On September 11th we will be hosting a Retirement Celebration for Pastor Don and Mrs. Darlyn and their over 25 years of ministry here at BWC and over 45 years in ministry total. The celebration will be held at the KC Health Resource Center. This will be a great evening cherishing memories, celebrating the now, and praying blessings on the future. The event will take place from 5-7pm and we do ask that you sign up so that we can have a count of how many to expect during the night. You can sign up by going here.

On September 12th we will be having a special service where Pastor Don will be passing the mantel of Senior Leadership on to Pastor Casey. This will be another historic landmark in the great history of BWC. We ask you all to please be in attendance on this day in support of these two men of God who have been called to this house.

If you would like to leave any thoughts to Pastor Don expressing your appreciation, we would love to have you do so here on this site. Simply fill in the comment form underneath this post and submit when you are done. We look forward to a wonderful weekend!

Pastor's Thoughts - August

August

This will be my final article with September 12th being my official retirement date. Much of what I want to say to you will be said on that date. My last speaking date will be September 5th and I will be using that service for Mrs. Darlyn and I to share with you our ministry journey that began in 1964. I hope you can be here for that very special service.

September 12th will be an exciting morning as we transfer Senior leadership to Pastor Casey and Mrs. Judi. He and I both are expecting family and out of town guests for this historic day for Bethel Worship Center. Our newly elected conference Bishop, Greg Amos, will join us for that service as well.

It has been our joy to walk with you, work with you, serve with you and now to become a part of the congregation that makes us the wonderful body of people here at Bethel.

A million thank you's could never express our gratitude for your multiplied kindnesses to us. We have been so blessed to be your pastors these 25 years and you have added to the richness and fullness of our lives.

Thank you once again and may God continue to bless us all!
