Church Ministries

The following are places that you can serve within the church. We do ask for a certain commitment level in your relationship with BWC before your involvement in one of these ministries.

    Frontline Ministries - This is the Worship Ministry of BWC. We meet for practice every Tuesday evening. The band practices from 6-7 and then the vocalists join in at 7 and go to 8pm. We are always open to vocalist, musicians and sound technicians. Frontline is led by our Worship Pastor, Pastor Brian. Areas where you could serve in Frontline are:
    • Vocalists
    • Musicians (pianist, hammond, guitarists, bassists, drummers, horns, etc)
    • Computer Operator (familiar with a computer and easily trainable)
    • Sound Technician (operating a sound board and helping with setting up a system)
    • Video Recording (recording Sunday morning services and special events)
    • Audio Recording/Duplication (record messages during services and then make copies of recording using a duplicator)

    Nursery -  Class consists of 0-2 years of age. You would be put on a scheduled rotation to serve for Sunday services and/or Wednesday evenings. You may also be asked to help for special events. We do require background checks, which we pay for, on all those serving in children's ministry areas.

    Preschool Classes - These classes consist of 2-4 year olds, taught with an easy to follow and prepare curriculum. You would be put on scheduled rotation. We do require background checks, which we pay for, on all those serving in children's ministry areas.

    Kid's Church - A ministry to Kindergarten-5th grade. We need individuals willing to teach and others to volunteer and assist the teacher. The class has easy to follow and prepare curriculum. You would be put on a scheduled rotation. We do require background checks, which we pay for, on all those serving in children's ministry areas.

    Royal Rangers - A ministry to boys ranging from 2 up to 5th grade. We need individuals willing to teach and others to volunteer and assist the teacher. This ministry meets on Wednesday nights and may have special events throughout the year. We do require background checks, which we pay for, on all those serving in children's ministry areas.

    Mpact Girls Club - A ministry to girls ranging from 2 up to 5th grade. We need individuals willing to teach and others to volunteer and assist the teacher. This ministry meets on Wednesday nights and may have special events throughout the year. We do require background checks, which we pay for, on all those serving in children's ministry areas.

    Youth Ministry - High Intensity Youth Ministry is our ministry to middle and high school students. We do require background checks, which we pay for, on all those serving in student ministry areas. We are always looking for anyone willing to help out in any of the following areas:
    • Leadership Team - This team meets with Pastor Bunk on a monthly basis to help brainstorm, plan and shepherd individuals in the youth.
    • Coaches - These are mature men and women in their faith who would be willing to take on two or three teenagers and help mentor them in their journey while here at BWC.
    • Small Group Hosts - We can always use host homes for our small groups that meet every other Sunday night opposite of Extreme Worship. You will be put in a rotation system with other homes.
    • Prayer Team - Anyone who is willing to pray behind the scenes for the the student ministry and for individual students.
    • Creative Team - Often times we have special events where we are in need of finger foods, snacks, drinks, etc. We can use people who are gifted in this area.
    • Tech or Production Assistance - Anyone with computer or sound system training could help in these areas for our Extreme services.
    • Chaperons - We may need individuals willing to go on trips various times during the year to help lead.

    Radical Drama - The drama team is open to young and old. Our practices are typically on alternating Sunday's. You can check the calendar for practice dates. We may be called on to do drama's in church, for special events, or in prison ministry.

    Care Pastors - This team consists of mature men and women in their faith who would be assigned a group of individuals or couples in the church. The care pastors would simply assist the pastoral staff in helping to follow up with their group and make sure that we are meeting their specific needs as an individual or a family.

    Maintenance - We need individuals who are willing to help make repairs as needed around the church. Any handy skills you have are appreciated.

    Helps - This area of ministry would fall mainly on Sunday mornings and at special events we host throughout the year. We are looking for friendly happy people that help us set a warm and welcoming environment. You would be put on a scheduled rotation to serve. Areas where you could be involved are as follows:
    • Welcome Center - Those willing to work in our information area to help assist people with their questions.
    • Greeters - Those willing to work our entrances to make others feel welcome when they come in.
    • Ushers - Those willing to help people find seats during our service, open and close the doors for people during service, help parents/guardians find the nursery and/or kid's classes, receive offering and also pass out communion.
    • Parking Assistance - Those willing to help an elder or widow park their car.
    • Parking Attendants - Those willing to assist with an umbrella on rainy days or help people find a parking space when lot may be crowded.
    • Security - Those willing to watch over our campus during times of service.
    • First Time Guest Team - Those willing to serve on a team that meets first time visitors after church and helps them with questions or general information about BWC.

    Prayer Ministry - We want everything we do to be covered in prayer and we want the family of BWC to have prayer coverage available to them as they need it. The following are areas where you could assist in our prayer ministry:
    • Intercessory Prayer - this team meets on Sunday mornings in the fellowship hall prior to our services. Their goal is to cover that morning service in prayer. 
    • Prayer chain - When prayer needs come up from within our family we like to have an immediate team of people begin praying. This is not a gossip chain, it is a prayer chain! You can participate in this either by phone or email.
    • Prayer covering - We have a group that meets to make blankets and quilts that can be given to individuals who are going through a tough time or just simply need reminders that they are covered in prayer by a family who loves them.
    • Fasting - This is a social network ministry that is set up mainly for those who are willing to fast and pray over specific needs and ministries that will be going on within BWC. Communication is done through social media and dates are scheduled for the fasts so that they can be done in unity. For more information you can check out the facebook page.
