Scriptures used: Genesis 2:16, 3:17-18; Hebrews 6:19; John 19:1-2; Ephesians 1:7; Romans 8:18-25

  • In a world full of "thorns and thistles," we can have joy and hope because of Christ.

  • Jesus bought us back, He repurchased us with His life, reconnecting us to our creator God. He won us back from sin and death and freed us from it's distress and harm.

  • The foundational and fundamental truth of what Jesus has done for us should impact how we live our lives, and how we view the new life God has given us.

  • Hard times have always been since sin entered the world. The question for us is where do we place our hope during the hard times?

  • “The resurrection was God’s way of stamping PAID IN FULL across history so that nobody could miss it." – Tim Keller

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • When you think of redeeming something what do you think of? What does Christ's redemption mean to you?

  • Is it hard for you to have hope in the middle of hard times? Why do you think that is?

  • How greatly have you allowed what Christ has done for us impact your life - how you live and think?
