Craig Groeshel released a book entitled The Power to Change. The main point of the book is “Mastering the Habits that Matter Most.” 

What makes you a great leader depends a lot on the habits that you have created in your life. The second habit Groeshel discusses in his book is “training not trying”

Watch the video for a quick explanation and then consider these questions:

  • When you hear the word “training” what emotions and thoughts typically stir in you? 

  • Would you consider yourself a disciplined person? Why or why not?

  • How would you define the difference in trying to do something and training to do something? 

  • What’s a characteristic of leadership where you would like to become better? 

  • What disciplines/habits do you need to put in place to help you train towards becoming that?
