March 2016 Preschool Classes

Each week this month, we will tell a story to show that we can follow Jesus! Watch this video and then take a look below at each week the specific story your child will hear. As you scroll, you'll also see a few downloadable resources that you can use to help continue the conversation at home with your kids.

This month, our preschoolers are learning that they can follow Jesus. They are hearing how He came to teach us and show us the way to God. They are learning that He wants to be their friend forever. Did you know that Jesus wants to be your friend forever too? Jesus loves you and wants you to be with Him always. He knows you and cares about what you’re going through, down to the smallest detail. Have you spent time with Him lately- either talking to Him or reading His word?

Take some time this month to read the Easter story (Matthew 26-28). Open your Bible and see how much He loves you. As you read this well-known story, try to imagine how Jesus must have felt on the way to the cross. Think about the fact that He died for you, yes you, because He wants to be your friend forever. But, that’s not the end. After three days, He came back, just like He said He would! Not even death could overcome the love of Jesus—the same Jesus who wants to be your friend. So try to find some time to spend with your friend, Jesus. Nobody loves you more.

We want to offer you ways to help your children remember this wonderful truth. Here's what we'll be talking about each week:

  • Week 1 (March 6) - Jesus uses great wisdom to teach us what God wants us to know. Luke 2:41-50; Matthew 5, 22:34-39
  • Week 2 (March 13) - Jesus tells the disciples to follow Him. The Gospels
  • Week 3 (March 20) - People spread coats and palm branches on the road and shout praises as Jesus enters Jerusalem. John 8:2-11
  • Week 4 (March 27) - Jesus eats with His friends the disciples one last time before being arrested and hurt so bad that He dies. After three days, Jesus comes back, just like He promised! Matthew 26:20-30, 27:1-2, 28:1-7
