Click image to see a fun activity you can do with your child to remind them there were twelve disciples that followed Jesus. They tried to be like Him by loving and helping others. We can follow Jesus too!
Practice counting 12 objects with your child. Toy cars, crackers, shoes, crayons—there are so many things you can count! Talk about how Jesus told 12 men to follow Him, and they did! Those men became the 12 disciples.
Give your child two bath toys. Tell him to pick one to be the leader. Show him how to pull one across the bath water or “walk” along the tub, while making the other follow. Talk about how we can follow Jesus by loving people the way Jesus loves us.
Ask your child to pick a vehicle or color of vehicle. As you drive, look for that vehicle/color. Every time you find yourself following one, say this month’s memory verse together. Pick a new vehicle/color each time you drive somewhere new.
