• God is not subjugated to his creation. He is in control. (Romans 8:22)
• 2 Timthy 4:1-4 - avoid teachings that tickle your ears. Theology may not always be feel good, but it should always be good. 
• "God loves me and would never let a storm come into my life" is a false teaching. He helps you stand in the face of the storm. 
• When things are outside of our realm of understanding, that's when we need faith to kick in. 
• What we build our life on will determine if we stand when the storm comes.
• The enemy of faith is fear, but perfect love casts out fear. 
• The more we grow in God's love the more fear loses its power.
