Opposition in our faith is not something that’s getting in the way of what we want, it’s something getting in the way of what God wants for us, or to do through us.
Blended worship is not true worship. God is not meant to be an addition to our life, he’s meant to be the center of it.
Our spiritual enemy is smart, he’s conniving. He doesn’t just seek to destroy from outside, one of his greatest tactics is from within.
“Discernment is not knowing the difference between right and wrong. It is knowing the difference between right and almost right.” Charles Spurgeon
God’s word is always the center of the attack. If we allow ourselves to be deceived or discouraged when God’s word is attacked, Gods work will get stalled. Remember God's word never fails.
Whatever God is trying to build the enemy is always trying to destroy. Jesus said it this way, “The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy.”
If the enemy can get you to believe false things about God and His call, he may be able to keep you from doing what God’s calling you to do. If the enemy can get you to be tolerant of things that compromise the word of God, he can taint the work of God you are doing.
In the midst of opposition remember the promises of God and that your strength is in Him. Then just pray God blesses you as you serve Him and let God deal with them.
Don’t allow yourself to become so consumed with opposition that you overlook the people and opportunities God has put in front of you, and the responsibilities God has assigned you.
"Obey God, leave all the consequences up to Him." Charles Stanley
When Jesus enters everything changes.
Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:
When you encounter opposition to your faith, what is your immediate reaction? Defensiveness? Prayer? Fear? Peace?
How does your response line up with what Jesus and his apostles teach us to do?
What's one of the toughest obstacles you've encountered to living your faith publicly?
How does the opposition you face in your faith compare to what other believers face around the world? How can you pray for them?
