  • We have to be on guard to what and who we allow to influence our life.

  • You are the temple of the the living God and you have to be on guard as to who and what you give residence to in your temple.

  • We have to guard ourselves against the tendency to work for what makes us look good rather than rest in and reflect the one who is good.

  • You can’t fix you but you can take steps that will allow God to move in your life.

  • We don’t have to strive to be remembered for the good we do, we just have to remember what Jesus has already done and let the good we do come from that.

  • Don’t drift towards working to make yourself look good. Rest in the one who is good and let your life reflect the work He’s done in you.

  • No one would have to get angry at the sin in our life if we would just get angry about it ourselves.

  • We cannot use righteous anger as a guise for sinful anger.

  • The wrong response in anger can rob us of our joy and the impact that God wants to make through us.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • Do you ever feel yourself being lured back into ways of living that you've tried to come out of? What do you do to safe guard yourself against that?

  • How careful are you of the people you allow to influence your life? What boundaries do you have in place for relationships?

  • Do you think you've ever been guilty of using righteous anger as a guise for sinful anger?

  • Has anger negatively effected your life in any way? How so?
