Scriptures used: Ephesians 6:14; Romans 8:37-39; Mark 12:30; Matthew 6:33; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 5:12-14

  • The enemy wants to destroy our heart. He wants to effect the life flow of our lives to keep us from walking in the victorious life Jesus has for us.

  • Jesus never said follow your heart. He said follow Him.

  • Go on a discovery journey to see what the Bible says about our hearts: Jer. 17:9; Psalm 18:45, 73:21, 73:26, 51:10; Matt. 6:21, 5:8, 9:4, 15:8, 15:19; Mark 10:5; John 14:1; I Cor. 4:1-2; Rom. 1:21, 24; II Thess. 3:5; Eph. 3:17; Rom. 10:10; Col. 3:1.

  • Jesus' heart for us led Him to the cross where He took our sin, our pain, and our sorrow. He forgave everything we have done, and he healed everything that has been done to us.

  • “Righteousness is the application of the truth of Jesus in everyday life." Tony Evans

  • God has given us His Word and His Holy Spirit to instruct and empower us in our journey.

  • When we are in Christ, we must guard our heart and protect it from unrighteousness.

Reflect:

  • How has your heart led you astray before?

  • What steps can you take to love God with all your heart?

  • As you pursue God, how do you see Him strengthen you to love others?
