Even in the darkest moments, even in the areas we can’t understand, God’s hope is real.
We have pain, but he will reverse it. We have disappointment, but he will erase it. We long for justice and he will restore it.
Jesus is a King who would conquer death, not cause it. A King who would not exploit others for his purposes, but pour himself out for us. A King who heals our hurts. A king who reconciles us to himself and to each other.
In order to see how beautiful his grace, mercy and faithfulness is we have to come to terms with how ugly our sin is.
It’s not up to us to judge whether or not the God of all creation is fair, it’s up to us whether or not we receive the love God offered us through the savior and Lord Jesus Christ who came to us, who was unfairly judged but willingly crucified, in order for us to be ransomed and redeemed.
God’s not out to get you, he’s come to love you and draw you to him.
Good news entered our dark world. Even in the midst of our filth, God is faithful. His love is not superficial it is supernatural. We gave him pain, he gave us promise.
The God who calls himself I am, says to those he’s ransomed and redeemed - I will. He says I will make a new covenant. I will put my law within you. I will write it on your hearts. I will be your God. I will forgive your sins. I will remember them no more.
