Scriptures used: Matthew 543-48; Romans 6:23; Luke 14:12-14; Romans 2:11; James 2:9; Matthew 5:1-5, 15-20

  • Contentment is not found in our situations being perfect. Contentment is found in Jesus Christ.

  • Jesus is not just one in a line of great teachers and philosophers. In Jesus is salvation, hope, and eternal life for all who believe.

  • Jesus was willing to pursue the outcast, the unwanted and the weak. He came for all and longs for all to experience His love and be restored to dignity.

  • In Jesus we are called and challenged to love others and put others ahead of ourself.

  • When Jesus has done something in your life you never know the impact your story can make on someone else.

Reflect:

  • Do you ever find yourself living as if others are beneath you? What could you do to change that mindset?

  • Who is someone you struggle to love? What can you do to learn to let the love of Christ express itself in that relationship?

Each of the five devotionals contain a short audio message (1-2 minutes). The guests share about seeing needs, looking for opportunities and giving their time.
