Coming to Jesus requires humility and surrender.
It doesn’t matter how good we are, or how good we think we are, unless we are covered under the righteousness of Christ by believing in his death and resurrection we are sinners in rebellion to God.
It doesn’t matter how good we think we are, there are only one of two postures in relationship to Jesus Christ and that is surrendered to him or in rebellion to him.
Don't be so concerned with "your truth" that you miss the truth. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.
We see Jesus as a good teacher but have we accepted Jesus as God. Don't allow the distractions of life to delay your declaration of Christ as Lord of your life.
Jesus’ death and resurrection was for the forgiveness of every sin. You may think your sins have so destroyed and disqualified your life that there’s no returning, but Jesus’ resurrection says your wrong.
In your moments of failure you are still loved by the Savior. Jesus will never remind you of your failure he will remind you of your call.
Jesus' death and resurrection was for everyone who thinks they are good enough on their own, who are distracted by approval and their own desires, who feel ignored by God or think God isn’t even real. It's for those who’s hearts are hardened to the truth of who Jesus is, and who feel too far gone to be forgiven or too much of a mess up to make an impact.
We have to understand that we’re all guilty, but we’re all loved and have been offered forgiveness from the one who took our place, the one who carries the name above all names.
Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:
Have you ever considered how unjust Jesus' trial was? How does it speak to you that Jesus was unjustly treated?
Every person surrounding Jesus’ trial can represent someone’s perspective to Jesus. Being honest with yourself, which one would you be and what step do you need to take in your relation to Jesus?
