  • Upward peace creates an inward peace that produces outward peace.

  • When conflict comes, ask yourself - what do I have to lay down to begin to move towards a path of peace?

  • Blessed is the person who tries to be at peace when conflict arises.

  • Conflict is unavoidable, but just because conflict is unavoidable it doesn’t mean we have to be the ones producing conflict.

  • “Honest communication doesn’t mean saying the first thing that comes to mind. The goal is always to speak the truth in love with the purpose of building up the other.” Winston Smith

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • How well are you at dealing with conflict?

  • Does James words about why we quarrel challenge you or frustrate you? Why?

  • What part is the hardest for you when it comes to handling conflict?

  • What can you do to be better at bringing peace in the middle of relational conflict?
