Scriptures used: Psalms 103:1-22; Psalms 34:1; Exodus 34:6-7; 2 Corinthians 12:5, 10; Ephesians 3:14-19

  • We must choose to bless the Lord at all times. Not because we feel like it, but because of what we know to be true. Because of the word of God, because of what Jesus has done for us, we know that God is good.

  • Never forget God's goodness.

  • Jesus has made it possible for those who put their trust in Him to be forgiven, to be healed, to be redeemed, to be completely loved, to experience new mercies every day, to find satisfaction in Him and only Him because nothing else that we put our trust in can fully satisfy! These benefits are yes and amen in Christ!

  • What would our worship look like if we spent more time choosing to remember the goodness of the Lord in our lives?

  • Past grace is evidence of future grace.

  • God's grace is amazing, but we'll never see it as amazing if we think we don't need it.

  • Never forget your weaknesses.

  • "I am not strong. However, I am tethered to Someone who is strong. I am not holding on to hope in terms of a positive perspective about the future or an innate sense of optimism, but rather holding on to the living person of Jesus Christ. I am grabbing hold of the promises of God, His purposes, and His provision, and refusing to let go.” Nancy Guthrie

  • Our weakness isn't a barrier to the strength of God; it's the very doorway into that strength. When you begin to realize how weak you are, your dependence on God grows.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • What do you do to remember key moments or events in your life?

  • When do you typically find yourself forgetting the goodness of God, or when do you find yourself being so overwhelmed that you don't focus on His goodness?

  • What can you do to remember the goodness of God?

  • How does remembering your weakness help you stay faithful in your relationship with Christ?
