Scriptures used: Revelation 21:1-5; Luke 2:48-50; John 1:1-4; Hebrews 4:16; Genesis 3:15; Romans 5:8, 6:23

  • Jesus is the greatest gift. He is God's gift to all mankind.

  • Jesus gives the gift of freedom from sin and the opportunity to live in His presence for all eternity. We have to be willing to receive this gift.

  • Christmas is a reminder that God noticed our need for a savior. How often do we take the time to notice the needs that may be around us?

  • God has noticed you. If you will receive His gift you will know, as the song says, this “the thrill of hope,” and today can truly be a “new and glorious morn.”

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • What gift at Christmas do you remember bringing you great joy?

  • Has anyone ever noticed a need that you had and helped? How did that make you feel? Have you ever noticed a need of someone else? How did they respond?

  • Have you realized the gift that God has provided for you in Christ? Do you truly understand the thrill of hope that Jesus has offered?

We need to remember who Christmas is all about and why it matters. Don't you hope everyone will Unwrap the Greatest Gift they'll ever receive?
