Promises or Threats
Sharable notes for the June 23, 2024 message. You can post these notes on your social platform!
Scriptures used: 2 Corinthians 12:9-10; Acts 3:1-8; 4:16-22
Threat - a statement of an intention to inflict pain, injury, damage, or fear
Promise - a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing, or that a particular thing will happen
The enemy wants to distract you with threats, but our focus needs to be on God’s promises.
God promised salvation to all who believe in His Son (Romans 1:16–17). There is no greater blessing than the free gift of God’s salvation.
Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:
When has someone made promises to you and then kept them? How did that make you feel?
Have you ever been threatened by someone? How did that make you feel?
Do you ever find yourself more fearful of our spiritual enemy's threats than you do hopeful over the promises of God? Why do you think that is?
