We must operate from a place of brokenness in our boldness.
This generation doesn't need a people of faith that only gives God the glory when things are good, and then blames God when things are bad. This generation needs to see a people of faith who trust God in all situations.
Boldness is a behavior born out of belief.
There’s no doubt our life should be a witness, but we should also let our words be spoken with boldness.
When speaking the truth of Christ the goal is not to be offensive, but we can’t be afraid to offend. Truth is going to be offensive to the lies we believe and the things we don’t want to let go of.
If we think it is necessary to have the social influence we’ve become accustomed to as Christians in order to follow Jesus, we’ve missed the point. We follow a Savior who emptied himself of his power and privileges for the sake of others.
God gives ordinary people extraordinary boldness to speak from broken and contrite hearts.
Fear is not the opposite of faith, it’s the opportunity for faith. It’s the opportunity to allow what you believe demonstrate a behavior of boldness.
Everything we face is an opportunity to reveal the life of Christ in us.
We position ourselves and stand from a place of victory. Our spiritual enemy is fighting a losing battle.
Jesus confronted sin, but he never canceled people. He extended grace aligned with truth. He loved others and he wanted to see them experience life more abundantly in him.
We can not be afraid to speak boldly about what we believe deeply to a culture that wants to silence what they do not tolerate.
Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:
How have you seen cancel culture affect people? Do you know anyone personally who has been affected by it?
Why do you think it's important to allow God to break us before he empowers us with boldness?
Have you seen God use your moments of boldness in sharing your faith to others? Why is it important for a younger generation to see an older generation not just believe deeply, but also speak boldly of their faith?
