This Generation Week 5

Sharable notes for the September 15, 2024 message. You can post these notes on your social platform!

Scriptures used: Acts 16:22-34; Matthew 14:23; Mark 6:46-47; John 6:15; Proverbs 18:1; Hebrews 10:24-25

  • There is power in perspective.

  • Loneliness is defined as a physical and mental state of isolation; a time when you have no one. Aloneness is defined as getting away from the distractions of life; a time of rest, refocus, & worship.

  • If you are facing loneliness, you have to be willing to confront it.

  • Don’t focus on what you are lacking, focus on what you have.

  • When we get comfortable being stuck is when the enemy begins to win.

  • God sometimes ordains times of isolation but what we do in that place is up to us.

  • Worship brings freedom.

  • Don’t be ok with people going to a place God just brought you from.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • Do you find yourself focusing more on what you have or what you’re lacking? How can you change your perspective this week to focus on the things you have?

  • Have you ever been in a place of hopelessness? How did you respond? What did you learn from this experience?

  • Read Acts 16:25-26: After reading these verses how does the response of Paul and Silias encourage you today? Next time you face any hardship in life just begin to pray and worship.
