Scriptures used: John 15:9; 16:5-15; 2 Corinthians 1:21-22; Acts 2:1-21; Ephesians 6:18; 1 Corinthians 14:14-15; Jude 1:20; John 3:8

  • Truths about the Holy Spirit - He is our comforter, counselor, convicts of sin and righteousness, seal, deposit. He hovered over the birth of creation and the birth of Jesus. He can manifest in us and through us in gifts to bless the church with words of wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miraculous powers, prophecy, discernment, tongues & interpretation of tongues. He is not retired.

  • We are called to be a people of action through the Holy Spirit. Don't trade God's adventure for safety and convenience.

  • We cannot direct the Holy Spirit or limit His place of operation. The Holy Spirit directs our life. We have to be obedient to Him when and wherever He leads us.

  • Let God awaken a wonder in you about Him and His Holy Spirit.  Don’t let your mind limit what God can do.

  • The work of the Holy Spirit is always going to lead to Jesus.

  • We need to pray prayers that ask God to empower us for a life of adventure with Him and for Him.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • What has your relationship been with the Holy Spirit in your life?

  • Are there aspects about the Holy Spirit that scare you or you don't understand?

  • What keeps you from praying prayers that ask the Holy Spirit to work in your life the way He did in the New Testament? Are you willing to start?
