Scriptures used: Daniel 6:1-10, 9:17-19, 10:11-13; Mark 14:37-38; John 15:5; Hebrews 11:35-40

  • If prayer is not a daily discipline in our life, we are cutting ourselves off from the wisdom and power of God to strengthen us, direct us, guide us and change us.

  • God strengthens your spirit through prayer to help you avoid temptation.

  • Sometimes we have to do some introspection and ask ourselves, how disciplined am I in my prayer life?

  • JD Greear - "Effective prayer begins when you perceive the gap between where a situation is and where God wants it to be."

  • When we do what God has called us to do, it will be noticed. Let God bring it to light in His time and then He will be glorified.

  • Our decision making and our life choices should be based on what pleases God. When we do then we can go forward fearlessly with boldness in Him.

  • Your break through is in the relationship not the resolution you are seeking.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • How disciplined would you say you are in your prayer life? How valuable is prayer to you? How much do you prioritize it?

  • How well do you know God's word? Are you able to remind God of His promises?

  • How bold are your prayers? What are your prayers leading you to do?

  • What have you stopped praying over that you need to begin again?
