Scriptures used: 2 Corinthians 9:6-10; Ephesians 2:10; Galatians 6:7,9; Nehemiah 4:1-3, 6, 20; 6:15-16; Hebrews 10:24-25

  • Choices, decisions, and habits may seem to be no big deal in the moment, but they are actually determining the destiny of our lives.

  • The small stuff, in regards to the little decisions we make every day, adds up and can lead to either blessing or cursing. Maybe we should take some time to consider the small stuff in our life.

  • Daily seeds of faithfulness are allowing God to make us into all He wants us to be.

  • Wake up every day with these thoughts - God loves me. God has made me new. God has a purpose for me to do good.

  • Gratitude helps my emotions follow my actions. It is a seed we can plant that will reap a harvest of blessing.

  • “Good and evil both increase at compound interest. That is why the little decisions you and I make every day are of such infinite importance. The smallest good act today is the capture of a strategic point from which, a few months later, you may be able to go on to victories you never dreamed of. An apparently trivial indulgence in lust or anger today is the loss of a ridge or railway line or bridgehead from which the enemy may launch an attack otherwise impossible.” CS Lewis

  • If the generations before you have not passed down a story of hope in Christ, start a new story to pass down to the generations after you!

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • What kind of story have the generations before you passed down in regards to hope? Is this a story you want to continue to pass down or do you need to begin to write a new story of hope in Christ?

  • Looking at your daily choices and decisions, what kind of harvest would you say they are preparing you to reap?

  • How good are you at sowing gratitude? In what ways could you begin to get better?

In 2 Corinthians 9 Paul says that what we give we will receive in abundance. So instead of asking God to keep increasing our gain, we are to give bountifully and cheerfully. In this plan, Tony Evans teaches the six Laws of the Harvest, and how we are to implement them into our lives.
