Passages referenced: John 20:1-22

  • The death that was supposed to end Jesus movement only spearheaded it even more, because His death gave Him the opportunity to resurrect.

  • Jesus' followers witnessed not just the birth of Jesus, not just the life of Jesus, not just the event of the crucifixion, but the living resurrected Jesus after his death on the cross.

  • If what you establish in your life causes more dependence on what you do than what God can do for you, God will disrupt that.

  • Jesus opened the door for eternal life by giving His. He wants us to respond to that gift by giving our life to love others in the same way He did.

  • Every day we must wake up and ask the question what must I do? What must I do to love others the way that Christ has loved me?

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • What does the resurrection of Jesus mean to me?

  • How have I responded to what Christ did through His death and resurrection with my life? Should my response change in any way going forward?

  • Do I live my life striving to love others the way that Christ loved me? In what areas of my life do I excuse this responsibility?
