  • There is always some form of competition for our hearts.

  • Jesus wants us to think about where we put our attention, what we focus on, and what we are pursuing because the condition of our heart is at stake.

  • If we’re worrying too much about something, God may not be mastering our life, because we’ll never be mastered by our concerns if God is our master.

  • God’s created within you what you need and God will provide what you need when you need it.

  • Do we live like we believe God knows what we need?

  • Prioritize your relationship with God, because when God is your master, you won’t be mastered by your concerns.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • What kind of things do you find yourself worrying about?

  • Does your worry reveal anything to you about something else that could be battling for first place in your life?

  • How would you say you are at at keeping God, and His desires, first in your life?

  • Are there any changes you could make that could help you keep God first?
