  • Who God is, His purposes and His promises do not change.

  • In His sovereign plan, God provides a mediator.

  • God has sovereignly placed us in certain situations precisely for the express purpose of praying his promises and releasing His mercy.

  • Live everyday understanding that God is always at work around us, and that we do not end up in relationship with others by accident.

  • In every situation and every thing we face we are in divinely appointed opportunities to call out for God’s promises.

  • Every problem we perceive is an opportunity to proclaim God’s promises and release His power.

  • Let us not miss the opportunities to bring life that God has promised through the prayers that we get to pray.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • Have you ever pondered how prayer plays a part in the sovereignty of God?

  • How does the idea that God provides a mediator encourage you in the situations you face and relationships you have in your life?

  • Who do you think God is calling you to mediate for through prayer?

God is sovereign, all powerful, and all knowing. At the same time, He commanded us to pray. Prayer is the means for us to access God’s provision for our life. Prayer is a privilege for every Christian to experience the wonderful will of God. Prayer is a relationship that sanctifies us to have the same heart as Jesus.
