  • When Jesus went to the cross, it was our open invitation to come into relationship with God and live this life with Him.

  • True life comes from connection to Christ.

  • Our culture is oppressed by division. We can agree on 99 things but 1 difference will divide. Followers of Christ are called to be different. We are called to love. We are called to build bridges. We are called to walk in unity not uniformity.

  • Christ followers don’t get caught up in choosing sides. Christ followers follow the command to love one another.

  • Is our mind being conformed to the world or being transformed by The Word?

  • Identifying with Christ brings us a change of identity.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • What types of things have you seen people, even those in the church, become divided over?

  • Why do you think our nature is prone to choose sides and like one side over another? How is this counter cultural to what Jesus has called us to?

  • How can we avoid conforming to the thinking and ways of the culture around us?

Is it possible for us to disagree with one another and still love unconditionally? According to Jesus, the answer is yes. He didn’t come to take sides. He came to introduce the Kingdom of God, a Kingdom that is often at odds with our political views, social opinions, or way of life. Join us for this four-day plan as we learn how to choose people instead of choosing sides.
