There is a spiritual connection between our heart and our money.
Work to earn your pay and bless others along the way.
The heart of the follower of Christ should not be to take advantage of another for our own gain, but to help bring others up with us.
God blesses us not just to live above poverty and mediocrity, but to live with a heart of generosity.
Combat greed with generosity. Make a life of generosity a priority.
Ask God why he has given you the blessings you have and how you can use it to bless others and glorify Him?
Our life as followers of Christ should be characterized by generosity. If we find ourselves trusting in our ability alone to save for our future, taking advantage of others to gain advantage for ourselves, and/or finding more joy in how much we have and how well we live than we do in our relationship with God, then our heart is not one characterized by generosity.
It’s because of God’s generosity that we can live with him in eternity.
Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:
Would you label yourself a saver? Would others call you a hoarder?
Do you ever find yourself trusting the finances you have more than you do trusting God? Why do you think that is?
In what ways do you strive to live your life with a heart of generosity?
