  • Blessed is not defined by lack of suffering. Blessed is defined by our relationship with Christ and our opportunity to be a part of his kingdom.

  • We have to be aware that the devils tactic is to divide and conquer.

  • There is nothing that we need to swear by or be bound to other than our faith in Christ.

  • We will be patiently enduring the rest of our life until Christ returns. We as followers of Christ can be a picture of hope in a world that has no hope.

  • As you stand with patience and endure - Remember, Look Ahead and Pray.

  • You can take courage in the fact that God’s presence is with you now, the days ahead and ultimately in the future.

  • “Patience is graciousness, steadiness, and faithfulness in the face of delayed gratification.” Tim Keller

  • “The only thing worse than disappointment with God is disappointment without God.” Phillip Yancey

  • In the middle space of death and resurrection, of restlessness and paranoia, God was working. Jesus robbed hell of its authority. In your middle space God is working. Through his suffering, the cross, his resurrection, Jesus joyfully endured so we can faithfully stand.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • Would you consider yourself a patient person, moderately patient, or not patient at all? What do you think has contributed to that?

  • What helps you to get through the space between desire and fulfillment?

  • How do you think it can help you to remember what God has done, look ahead to what God will do, and pray?
