Scriptures used: Ezekiel 47:1-12; John 7:37-39; Psalm 118:22; 1 Peter 2:4-8; Galatians 5:16-26; Romans 7:15-8:14

  • Hunger and thirst are indicators for something you desire that you don't presently have. Motivation alone though never satisfied anything.

  • Jesus told us to come to him and drink. You have to take a step and you have to take in what He offers. As we get His teachings in us, the Holy Spirit will change us.

  • The Spirit of God will always leave evidence that is is flowing in your life by how it shapes your life.

  • The Holy Spirit doesn't just bring behavior modification, He changes you from the inside out.

  • The Holy Spirit shapes you with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

  • What the Holy Spirit does in us is not just for us. His power wants to work through us.

Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:

  • What are you doing to "come to Jesus and drink?"

  • How do you believe the Holy Spirit has shaped your life?

  • If you evaluate yourself based on the fruit of the spirit, how would you say the Spirit has shaped you?

  • In what ways have you seen the power of the Holy Spirit at work in your life? In what ways would you like to see this happen?
