For us as followers of Christ to not passionately share what we believe from one generation to the next is wrong.
We are called as followers of Christ to go and make disciples and that has no boundaries - generationally, racially, economically, etc.
We must speak blessing over our children, call out blessing from them and raise them as a blessing.
Love chooses to move at the other person’s pace rather than requiring them to move at ours.
Our own children are our main responsibility to parent. We should raise our kids as the gift they are and to be a gift to the world around them.
The desire from one generation to the next should not just be to fill heads full of the right information about God, but for each generation to see hearts that burn with passion for God.
Your greatest contribution to the kingdom of God may not be something you do but someone you raise or someone you make an impact on.
Just like one domino impacts the next domino, one generation has the opportunity to impact another generation.
Reflect or meet with someone to discuss:
Have you ever built anything with dominoes to knock them down and watch the effect? How long did it take you? Were you successful?
Can you look back and pinpoint someone from an older generation who's made an impact on your life? How so?
In what way do you purposefully try to link arms with another generation to share the goodness of God?
